Spartanburg celebrated the opening of a baseball stadium in the city’s newest park on July 8, 1926. In the century since, Duncan Park has hosted thousands of games, hundreds of star players, and a record-setting match that brought some 20,000 spectators to every seat, bench, and nearby rooftop. This is the story of one of the country’s most historic minor league stadiums.
