Join Spartanburg County Public Libraries’ Summer Reading Program - its fun,
easy, free – and the best thing kids can do to keep up – and even improve -
their reading skills during the long, hot summer.
This year’s theme is “One World, Many Stories”
This program is for children birth through grades 6.
Come in to any SCPL location to receive our
Summer Reading Program gamecard. There are separate gamecards for older and
younger readers.
Independent Readers – Grades (Rising)
1-6
Children complete 10 of the 15 activities on their gamecard and write the
information near the activity.
Beginning July 1 turn in your completed game card to the Library to receive:
A certificate
A Medal
A Free Book
AND put your name in the drawing for the grand prize.
You have until July 31 to finish your game card so take your time and have fun!
(No additional game cards will be given out)
Read-to-Me’s
- Birth to (Rising) K-5
Children complete 10 of the 15 activities on their gamecard and write the
information near the activity.
Beginning July 1 turn in your completed game card to the Library to receive:
A Medallion
A Free Book
AND put your name in the drawing for the grand prize.
You have until July 31 to finish your game card so take your time and have fun!

Last day to turn in gamecards is
August 14.
All Library locations will have
special, fun activities just for kids, including storytellers, plays, games,
craft programs and much, much more!
