| The Hub City Writer's Project is based in Spartanburg and publishes books about the Upstate's history and people, and books by emerging writers in the Spartanburg area. Their website offers news about upcoming readings, project proposals, and the newest award winners, as well as useful links to writers in the Carolinas. | South Carolina Center for the Book is a joint effort of the South Carolina State Library and the USC College of Library and Information Science. Their SC Literary Map lists over 500 writers of fiction, non-fiction, children's books, history, and drama related to the state of SC.
