MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS: Homeschool parent-teacher must have a high school diploma or GED, commit to teach required subjects 180 days per year, and maintain required yearly documentation.
DUES/FEES: $75/student or $100/family
APPLICATION PROCEDURES: Request application via phone, email, letter or fax and a staff member will assist the applicant throughout the process.
A 501(c)(3), non-profit, SC homeschool accountability association established in 1996 under SC Section 59-65-47.  In the past TUAH has served over 1100 families per year until the 2003-2004 school year.  Beginning 2003, TUAH chose to better serve Spartanburg County and outlying areas with more individualized assistance for both local homeschool families and school districts.  TUAH provides:  homeschool counseling; required parent-teacher documents; optional group testing site; high school graduation service, transcripts and diplomas; and high school biology, advanced biology, and computer science labs.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS: Possess a minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Teach the subjects specified in the law for a minimum of 180 days per school year. Document instruction and submit periodic reports. Participate in annual testing program (for grades 3-11).
DUES/FEES: For one child, $328.00/yr; for two children, $388.00/yr; for three or more, $448.00/yr.

South Carolina Association of Independent Home Schools is a non-profit organization founded in 1990. During the 2008-2009 school year, SCAIHS served nearly 1100 home-schooling families, representing an enrollment of 1700 students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Membership in SCAIHS and continuing compliance with its standards fully satisfies the demands of South Carolina's compulsory attendance laws. SCAIHS offers teaching resources, curriculum counseling, and workshops to its members. SCAIHS offers four high school tracks and a special needs program. It also serves home-school families through the Home School Bookstore located next to its office.
