Sunflowers are a group of women who lost our babies to a closed adoption system
simply because we were unwed and uninformed of our rights. We now choose to
walk in the light of day of truth and honesty instead of the darkness of secrecy
and lies. We are part of much larger organizations, Council of Equal Rights in
Adoption (CERA) and Origins USA (OUSA). We help young women who are being
pressured into adoption, either by society or family. We provide information so
they can get help to keep mother and child together. We provide counseling and
do educational workshops to explain the damage adoption can do to both mother
and child. It has lifelong consequences. Family preservation, not adoption
separation.
