HubCulture Inc., a non-profit organization in Spartanburg, S.C., builds
community through dynamic arts and ideas. It operates two programs: the Hub
Culture, which celebrates place and community through the
creation and presentation of literary and cultural works; and HUB-BUB.COM,
which seeks to engage young adults through progressive and alternative arts,
music, film, theatre and other programming.

Fiction writers' critique and support group. Open to writers of all levels, age
21 and
up. Our goal is to support writers in their efforts to polish and hone their
writing for publication, as well as networking and sharing ideas, information,
and knowledge of the business and craft of writing. (Note: We are not a
substitute for a good writing class or workshop.)

The Shepherd's Center has a creative writing class open to anyone. The only
requirement is a real desire to join a group interested in writing stories.
The group currently has 15 writers, 9 of which are published. Also works with
school children and their writing. Writers of all ages are welcomed.

A nonprofit, literary center offering classes in fiction, poetry, non-fiction,
etc. Sponsors the Distinguished Author Series and several contests. Promotes
literacy and the Asheville Writers and Poets Group. Provides year-round classes
for children, teens, and adults, retreats, readings, symposiums, etc. Has 1,000
members.
