Join us for a summer of fun!

Everyone from babies through rising 6th graders is invited to participate.

Beginning the last day of school through July 31, 2017 read books on your reading level to earn cool prizes.

You get to choose how many books or hours to read.


  • Read 15 books or for 15 hours and receive a free book to keep

  • Read an additional 15 books or 15 hours (for a total of 30 books or 30 hours) and choose a prize.

  • Keep reading 20 more books or 20 hours (for a total of 50 books or 50 hours) and receive a t-shirt!


Receive a $10 Fine Forgiveness Voucher just for signing up!


Here are the ways to get started:


  • Option 1: Beginning May 26 drop by any Spartanburg County Public Libraries location to pick up your reading record.

  • Option 2: Sign up in your school media center.

  • Option 3: Sign up online and print your reading record OR Sign up and track your reading online.

Reading records must be turned in to any SCPL location by Monday, July 31.

Or, you may turn in your reading record to your school media specialist by Friday, August 25.

All Library locations will have really cool events and activities for kids in kindergarten through 6th grade.

We’ll also have special activities just for Tweens – rising 5th and 6th graders only.
